2017 NATIONAL CONVENTION - JULY 19 - 23, 2017 | THE WIGWAM - PHOENIX, AZ

The Biennial National Convention offers a unique opportunity for Triangle's of all ages from many parts of the country to meet in the true spirit of brotherhood. Since 1909, the National Convention has held all supreme and legislative powers of the Fraternity. National Convention has four main responsibilities and objectives. They include:

  1. Electing National Council
  2. Enacting legislation for the regulation of the Fraternity
  3. Providing personal and professional development opportunities for actives and alumni members
  4. Offer opportunities for socializing and networking amongst brothers

 

DETERMINE YOUR REGISTRATION CLASSIFICATION

Triangle National Conventions are attended by Triangle's of all ages. Approximately half of all attendees are voting delegates, both alumni and undergraduate. However, many other attendees are chapter advisory board members, visiting alumni and undergraduates, friends of Triangle, spouses, children, or guests. Your role at convention, as well as your registration fee and schedule of activities, will vary depening on your registration classification.

VOTING DELEGATES

Below are three classifications of Triangle members who have voting privileges on the convention floor. Active Chapters pre-pay for two undergraduate delegates. Alumni Chapters may have one alumnus delegate. Alumni groups without an active chapter may have one alumnus delegate. Registrations and shared room fees are pre-paid in Active and Alumni Chapter fees to the Fraternity.

Voting delegates will vote on important legislative business, as well as the election of National Council.
If you are a voting delegate, you will be expected to attend all business sessions and answer roll call at these sessions. You will have voting privileges if you are one of the following:

VOTING UNDERGRADUATE DELEGATE (Two voting delegates per chapter)

  • Your registration and double-room fees are pre-paid by your Active Chapter fees. Registration fees cover convention materials and sessions meals.
  • For accurate meal counts, please select the meals you will be attending.

VOTING ALUMNUS DELEGATE
ACTIVE CHAPTER ALUMNI DELEGATE (One voting delegate per chapter)

  • This is included in the "Voting Alumnus Delegate" classification.
  • Your registration and double-room fees are pre-paid by your Alumni Chapter fees. Registration fees cover convention materials and sessions meals.
  • For accurate meal counts, please select the meals you will be attending.

ALUMNI ORGANIZATION DELEGATE (One voting delegate per organization)

  • This is included in the "Voting Alumnus Delegate" classification and represent Alumni groups not attached to an existing Active Chapter.
  • Your registration and double-room fees are pre-paid by your Alumni Chapter fees. Registration fees cover convention materials and sessions meals.
  • For accurate meal counts, please select the meals you will be attending.

NON-VOTING/GENERAL ATTENDEES

NON-VOTING UNDERGRADUATES
Any number of additional undergraduate chapter members are encouraged and welcome to attend the convention. This includes the business sessions, educational activities, social events and all meals. It is $150.00 to attend and the fee covers meals and sessions for the duration of convention. This fee does NOT include your lodging. NON-VOTING ALUMNI FULL CONVENTION PACKAGE
Any number of additional alumni members are welcome to attend the convention. This includes the business sessions, educational activities, social events and all meals. It is $425.00 to attend and the fee covers meals and sessions for the duration of convention. This fee does NOT include your lodging. NON-VOTING ALUMNI WEEKEND CONVENTION PACKAGE
This package includes the business sessions, educational activities, social events and all meals on Friday and Saturday. It is $175.00 to attend and does NOT include lodging. You will need to book your hotel room separately using the following link. BOOK YOUR HOTEL ROOM NOW.

FAMILIES & GUESTS
Alumni and officers of the Fraternity are often accompanied by their spouses and/or children to the National Convention. You can easily register your family members or guests along with your convention registration on the Triangle website. Please register each family member for each event they will attend.

All sessions, with the exception of Ritual Roundtables and Business Sessions are open to families and friends of Triangle. Spouses and/or children are welcome at the Wednesday dive-in movie, Thursday dinner, Saturday lunch and Saturday dinner.

 

REGISTRATION FEES & PROCESS

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION POLICIES

  • A late fee will be assessed to any individual registering after June 1, 2017.
  • Travel arrangements, including air reservations is the responsibility of individual participants, including delegates. Information will be coming soon regarding transportation from the airport to the resort.
  • Registration fees do not cover any portion of meals which are not part of the official convention program.
  • Cancellations received after July 1 are non-refundable.

  3. YOU MUST Select the meals/Sessions you will be attending
  4. Select any additional add-on's (guests, single room, excusion, etc.)
  5. Once complete, click on "Submit Registration" at the bottom of the page
  6. Checkout
  7. The hotel block closes on June 26th; e-mail Rhonda Halcomb at rhonda@triangle.org after June 26th to make alternative arrangements

FULL CONVENTION NON-VOTING ATTENDEE REGISTRATION PROCESS

This includes visiting undergraduate and alumni members.

  1. Click "Register" at the bottom of the page
  2. Select "Non-Voting Undergraduate Attendee" or "Full-Time, Non-Voting Alumnus Attendee"
  3. YOU MUST Select the meals/Sessions you will be attending
  4. Select any additional add-on's (guests, single room, excusion, etc.)
  5. Once complete, click on "Submit Registration" at the bottom of the page
  6. Checkout
  7. Book your hotel 

 ALUMNUS WEEKEND PACKAGE

  2. Select "Weekend Package"
  3. YOU MUST Select the meals/Sessions you will be attending
